IMBA was formed on February 12, 2017. It was formed by groups of mini bull contractors from all over the us for the purpose of providing appropriate stock for youth bull riders. It is IMBA 's goal to promote the mini bull industry and give these youth a stage to show case their talent where they can truly get the recognition they deserve. IMBA is the world 's largest miniature bull riders association that there is with 20 plus contractors from all over the USA, Canada, and Australia. IMBA holds a True World Finals with the top youth mini bull riders from all over the world competing head to head on the top mini bulls to crown a True Mini Bull Riding World Champ.
To qualify for IMBA world finals a rider must complete at IMBA sanctioned events and finish in the top 5 of his or her age group of that series and be a member of IMBA in good standing.
Each approved IMBA contractor has sanctioned events either they put on or supply stock to. These events will be a series of events in which the contractor will qualify there top 3 form each age group to be eligible to go to IMBA World Finals.
There are no one day qualifiers IMBA age groups (note some contractors age groups may vary. But all riders will ride in these age groups at world finals)
* 5 & Under Walk Trot
* 6 - 8 Pee-Wee Mini
* 9 - 11 Jr Mini
* 12 - 14 Sr Mini
* 15 - 16 Super Sr
All ages are as of January 1
IMBA does have weight limit 14 years and under is 125 pounds with 5 pound variance • this is without gear 15 and 16 weight limits are 145 pounds with 5 pound variance. This is without gear IMBA members must complete in their age group only exception is 14 year olds that are over weight limit may ride up to next age group!
